There will be a lot of homophobes in your life who won’t openly hate you. They’ll instead wait for a reason to hate you that is more socially acceptable in their circle.
not to hijack tbh, but this kind of like ‘secret’ homophobia applies to racism too - people won’t discriminate against you for shit they know they can’t get away with, but the minute they find anything else. not all bigots are stupid enough to give that shit away - the truly insidious ones find ways to discriminate without actually playing into MAGA style discrimination and bigotry
Concept: I finish school. The job I work isn’t my dream job but I enjoy doing it greatly still. It pays enough to cover everything I might need. My bills are never overdue. Money is not a thought in my head. I have a place to live. So do my dogs. It is nice and warm, I have some plants, my bookshelves are full, my sheets are always clean. There is time to read at the end of a day. I read a lot. Thinking is a good thing. I meet up with friends regularly, old and new. They love me. We make memories. I have nothing to be ashamed of. I travel a few times a year, always different places. The places I see steal my breath away. The people I meet teach me of life. They are good. There is no war. The sea calls to me and pay visit. I am independent. I am content.
we are such a sad generation. the dream is a modest and decent life.

Things I’m doing to better myself this summer
- Getting rid of alcohol and coffee from my diet
- getting up in the morning- drinking A LOT of water- writing down how I’m feeling
- moving my body as much as possible (even if it’s just dancing whilst cooking!)
- taking at least one breath of fresh air a day
- keeping my surroundings clean and tidy ~ helps to keep my mind clean and tidy!
- understanding I’m better off without some people
- staying in my own lane ~ drama free ~
- focusing and working on my goals
- count my blessings! What I am grateful for
- listening to someone to UNDERSTAND them, not just to reply.
- YOGA
- trying to eat less processed sugary foods!~ they just make me feel kinda mad and lethargic after
- letting my skin and hair breathe by wearing no makeup and using no heat on my hair
